Jeremiah

Jeremiah is now 7 yrs old, he has behavioral and emotional issues, adhd and anxiety. He is also on the very low spectrum of autism. I had very hard time understanding how to deal with this and actually didn’t know until Linsey was in our lives. She helped me understand it and process it and helped my son both mentally and physically. She understood what he needed and helped me get those things for him. She taught me to be his advocate both in school and at his doctor’s appts.

Linsey McDanel came in to our lives in 2021 when she was Jeremiah’s teacher in kindergarten. At first things were ok, then bam things got worse and she recognized my son needed a little extra something. She has been there since then for him, she shows so much kindness love, loyalty and compassion for him and other kids. For example, She understood the bus was overstimulating and set him up for bad days, so she picks him up every morning so he can avoid that. My son opened up to her in many ways, mind you Jeremiah is not a real people person but bonded with Linsey right away and she is the only one he goes to at school still to this day when he is upset. He told his counselor that Mrs. Mac isn’t his teacher anymore but she is his best friend. There needs to be way more people like her in this world. Our community really needs this program so parents like myself can get that extra support team, it truly does take a special lady like her to help these kids. She understands them and wants nothing but the best for their well being just like a mother would.

Mac Camp and my relationship with Mrs. Mac is a must. She does so many things with the kids, from reading and writing to sensory processing and socialization. Mac Camp gives her an opportunity to get these kids out in the community learning all about the real world. They learn more than they ever could in a classroom, and she is right there to help us parents along the way all the while being a friend and a confidant.
